Central Wings is Polands Low Cost Airline.

Norwegian (Yes, the norwegian Airline) flies from Warsaw from 27€ to Paris (Orly, Munich, Birmingham, Salzburg, Rome, Stockholm, Athens, Copenhague, Malaga, Alicante and several norwegian vities.

Ryanair flies to several cities in Poland. It might be the cheapest way to get there.


SKY EUROPE flies to Poland from Vienna for 25€, which can be the cheapest way to get there if you find a flight to Vienna from your city for 29€ with SKY EUROPE or Air Berlin

Transavia and Easy Jet have flights to Krakow.
Wizzair also has flights to Warsaw and Katowice.

If coming from the previous show in Romania
The bus and the train will be the cheapest options, but the trip will be very very long...
If you want to fly, your best bet is SKY EUROPE, the only Low cost Airline linking Bucarest and Warsaw (via Vienna).

If you prefer the train, buy your train tickets with Rail Europe or International Rail.

The Hotel Question

OK, some peole has made the remark that this blog has a lot of information on travel, but very few on accomodation.
So here are the websites you can use when following Iron Maiden on tour:

Most festivals, like Wacken Open Air or Graspop have large camping sites and camping fees are often included in the price of the entrance.

- Youth Hostels

You can book hostels online, usually prices are very cheap, but sometimes you'll have to share your room. It's an ideal way if travelling with a small group.

The most common way to travel, and actually you can often find some really low fares.

It's also the occasion to spend your summer holidays in the sun, to visit ancient temples, and add an Iron Maiden show on the top of it!

Getting Around in Greece:

Athens is Greece’s main Airport and you will probably arrive there. If you arrive to another airport, there are frequent trains, buses and ferries from most islands and big cities.

From EUROPE

If coming from the previous show in Wacken, on July 31st

You really should fly if you want to do both shows! Train will be very long, expensive, and you will have to cross a lot no-EU borders like Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, which can be time consuming.

Air Berlin is your best option, as they fly from Hamburg to Athens. You can buy a one way flight.
TUI Fly flies from Hamburg to Thessalonica and Corfu, from where you can catch a train or a bus to Athens.
You can also check Lufthansa, but they won’t sell you a one way flight, which means you’ll have to buy a return flight from Hamburg.

From other cities in Germany to Greece :

Air Berlin flies to Athens from several cities in Germany.
German Wings flies to Athens from Köln and Stuttgart.
Easy Jet flies from Berlin to Athens.
Lufthansa has flights from every German city. Look for the “top offers” or the “ready to fly” offers.

Condor flies to several cities and greek islands.
TUI Fly flies from Düsseldorf, Bremen, Hamburg, Hannover, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Memmingen, Stuttgart and Munich to Korfu and Thessaloniki, from where you can take a train.
