INDIA TRAVEL GUIDE : IRON MAIDEN 2008
The Tour starts in Bombay (Mumbai), India, on february 1st 2008.
No doubt this will be one of the highlights of the tour, after their mighty concert in Bangalore on march 2007.
If you travel internationally to India you might want to arrive directly in Bombay. If this is not the case, you can reach the city on one of the followeing low cost airlines :
Air Deccan
Jet Lite
King Fisher Airlines
Go Air
You can try the following to get to India for a fair price :
If going from the USA to India try the following websites :
Economy travel
Air France USA
If going from Europe to India and have some time to spare, I would suggest the following options :
1/ Travel from Europe to Istanbul. You can take Easy Jet from London or Basel, Condor from almost anywhere in Germany and other countries, or compare prices of low cost airlines from your city using WEGOLO, which will compare the existing low cost links between your city and Istanbul.
From Istanbul take Air Arabia, the Sharjah based United Arab Emirates Low Cost Airline. It will take you directly to Mumbai changing planes in Sharjah.
2/Fly to Dubai from Germany with Condor or from Prague with Smart Wings and then take take Air Arabia to Mumbai. Sharjah is a short bus ride from Dubai. You will have to change airports, but the flight times are convenient.
3/ Fly directly from Europe to Mumbai. Usually Middle eastern carriers such as Ethihad, Emirates, Qatar Airways or Gulf Air have the best prices, but sometimes Air India, Jet Airways, Air France or Austrian Airlines have very good deals for direct flights. You can also fly Condor from germany to Goa in India, and then take a local carrier to Mumbai.
Virgin Atlantic will take directly from London to Mumbai.
